 Awana is a weekly evangelical and discipleship program for children based on II Timothy 2:15: Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Leaders and kids get together once a week for Bible study and memorization, games, counseling, etc. All the materials and games are prepared and ready for godly leadership to use. Awana is a worldwide program ran by local churches that can include children from 3 years old through high school The Awana Program will consist of three segments providing start-to-finish adventure in every meeting. Each segment has its own purpose, but all of them are FUN and for god. Game Time – Individual and team competition takes place through circle games exclusive to Awana and playground favorites. Every kid gets involved every night and has a chance to unleash his or her energy. Handbook Time – Kids work one-on-one with a trained leader to complete assignments in the curriculum materials. Awana emphasizes memorization and understanding of key Bible verses that show how to know God and walk with Him. A series of awards and trophies reward achievements at every level as kids progress.
